2021: A Year In Review

What a year, my friends!✨
.
Together, we have come a long way...literally.
.
In the spring, we moved The Build-A-Box Shop from our home in Lakefield to a commercial space on Chemong Road in Peterborough, and in the fall, we opened a storefront, Living Local Marketplace.
.
Thank you to the Wards for welcoming us with open arms; daily doses of encouragement; food and water; and a little wine when we needed it.
.
Along the way, our lovely, local offerings increased from two dozen to well over 200. We started the year sharing the work of artisans and small businesses in The Kawarthas, and in the summer, we reached out to include those from across the province.
.
All the while, you were behind us (me and my family of four, that is). In fact, your local love and support is what has allowed us to take each and every one of these steps.
.
When we opened the doors to Living Local Marketplace three months ago, you showed up - and you’ve been showing up ever since. You’ve been spreading the word at a rate that is faster than we could ever have imagined, and we cannot thank you enough.
.
Right now, we have the privilege of sharing the work of 105 small businesses. It’s a lot, but there are many more relationships to be built and many more lovely, local offerings to share. Our growth spurt is far from over; and with passion, purpose, and more gratitude than I could ever express, 2022, here we come!
.
From my family to yours, Happy New Year.
.
Wishing you the very best,
Alicia
